- Use of the services
Free use of the services for private and business purposes is only permitted via the user interface (web page) provided by the operator. Direct use of the services via the provided interfaces (such as Web Map Service or Tile Map Service) is only permitted in the following cases:
- For private and non-commercial use (e.g. incorporation in homepages of private persons or non-commercial associations)
- For evaluation purposes in a business environment (e.g. test integration in a WMS desktop environment or development homepage) for a limited period of max. 2 weeks.
Integration of the services in web sites (Internet or Intranet) and commercially used business applications and processes is expressly prohibited.
Free use of these services does not limit the user's other rights and obligations related to the services' data. These include especially data-related copyrights and labelling requirements. Any other use must be agreed upon individually with the operator.
The servers of the operator automatically record information that the user's application sends. These log data includes the date, IP address, browser name and the request URL. No other personal data will be stored. The log data is stored and processed solely for internal purposes, such as ensuring the availability of the services and possible billing purposes.
The published contents of the web pages and services are governed by German copyright and ancillary copyright law. Any use not permitted by German copyright and ancillary copyright law must be approved in writing by the operator or the respective copyright holder. Unauthorised copying of the contents, also in the form of excerpts, is not permitted and is liable to prosecution. In addition to these terms, special provisions apply for map displays shown on the web pages or made available by the services. The following provisions are currently applicable, for satellite and aerial pictures, Google provisions apply:

OpenStreetMap data is licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).
The operator is entitled to terminate the services, temporarily or permanently, without giving prior notice. This applies, for example, for technical, legal or economical reasons. The operator excludes any claims whatsoever, especially for damages to the user resulting from the temporary or permanent non-availability of the free services.
- External links
The operator has no direct influence on the contents of directly or indirectly linked pages and does not accept responsibility for such content or adopt it as his own. He expressly declares that no illegal content was recognisable on the linked pages at the time of linking. However, should any violations of the law become known, such external links shall be removed immediately.
- Limitation of liability
The user acknowledges that the data is neither complete nor free of errors. The operator assumes no responsibility for the data being up-to-date, complete and accurate. The operator assumes no warranty or liability for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the services and data. Liability for intent or gross negligence as well as product liability conform to the statutory provisions.
